Singer-songwriter Sparlha Swa brings a vocal sensibility reminiscent -say critics- of Joni Mitchell and Tracey Chapman. A prolific and respected composer, Sparlha wrote the soundtrack for multi-award-winning short film Pariah (Official Sundance Selection 2008) and has had her music licensed to both TV and Film (Girlfriends 2006, Motives 2, 2007). The Jamaican born performer has dabbled in acting too, taking a lead role in Fela! the Off Broadway musical directed and choreographed by the great choreographer Bill T. Jones. She is currently living and working on a new album in Brooklyn New York.
